My first project actually involved no paint at all. For the past 2 months in my garage sat two of the ugliest file cabinets I've ever seen. Tom brought them home for me. Not really sure how the owner of these cabinets managed to spill coffee down the sides or jam the handles, but congrats to them for their wild accomplishments in the workplace. I ventured to Target to check out the contact paper in an effort to beautify them!

Project #2 this week was a set of old nightstands. These little gems were hidden away at Goodwill. The geometric pattern on the drawers is so cute, and they were only $28 for the pair. I passed on the golf clubs for today.
I headed to Home Depot for my paint and knobs. For the paint, I used a primer/paint in one with a semi-gloss finish. It took about one can per nightstand, but we ended up a little short at the end. So, if you are doing a similar project, go ahead and get three cans of spray.
The knobs I chose are very similar to the ones below, but they are black.
